| Shoes | All candidates are required to wear character shoes, or a suitable alternative with hard heels. Tap shoes, with taps removed are acceptable, as well as "dress shoes." | Skirts | Girls must wear a character skirt, either full circular or gathered; the former style is preferred; Mondor Style #3080. The ideal fabric is a heavy polyester gabardine or a heavy polyester cotton blend. The preferred colour is black, although solid bright colours are acceptable. Ribbon trim of the teacher's choice at the bottom edge of the skirt may be added which complements the colour of the leotard. The hem of the skirt should be approximately 3 inches below the knee. |
| Shoes | All candidates are required to wear character shoes, or a suitable alternative with hard heels. Canvas or leather character shoes are acceptable, as are tap shoes with taps removed and "party shoes" that stay securely on the foot. Black is the preferred colour. Grades 1 and 2 must have a low heel; the upper grades have the option of a 1 ¼ " Cuban heel is desired. Pink elastics should be worn across the arch. | ||
